Denise Henry serves as the Project Leader for STAR NET Region IV. Since beginning her career in education in 1991, she has held a variety of roles, including paraprofessional in primary special education, general education teacher committed to inclusive practices, and educational consultant supporting systems-level change.  Denise holds a Master of Arts in Early Childhood Special Education and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership. She is a past president of the Illinois Division for Early Childhood and currently serves on the Subdivision Support Committee of the Division for Early Childhood within the Council for Exceptional Children.  She has two grown sons and lives in Southern Illinois with her husband.
