What is

Illinois STAR NET provides Support and Technical Assistance Regionally. We provide a variety of opportunities for personal and professional growth for those who touch the lives of young children, ages birth through eight, with an emphasis on children with special needs. STAR NET supports family-centered, researched and effective practices in early childhood education and care.

Where is Region IV?

STAR NET Region IV is administered by the St. Clair County Regional Office of Education in Belleville, IL 62220. The Regional Superintendent is Dr. Mark Eichenlaub. STAR NET Region IV serves 38 counties in the southernmost region of Illinois. There are five other STAR NET regional divisions throughout the state: Region I serves northwestern Illinois, Region II serves northeastern Illinois, Region III serves central Illinois, Region V supports the City of Chicago, and Region VI supports counties in northeastern Illinois south of Chicago.

What do you charge?

Virtually all of our services are offered free of charge! STAR NET is operated through a grant awarded by the Illinois State Board of Education; 100% of annual funding for the project comes from federal sources.
