Early math learning is about so much more than counting and number recognition. Beyond 1, 2, 3: Exploring Early Math Through Play and Discovery helps early childhood educators uncover the many ways young children develop foundational math skills through everyday experiences, play, routines, and hands-on exploration. Participants will explore engaging strategies that support problem-solving, patterns, measurement, spatial awareness, sorting, comparing, and mathematical thinking in developmentally appropriate ways. Through interactive activities and practical classroom examples, educators will discover how to intentionally embed meaningful math opportunities throughout the day while fostering curiosity, confidence, and joyful learning for with and without disabilities. Participants will explore ways to differentiate instruction, adapt activities, and provide individualized supports to ensure all learners can meaningfully participate, engage, and build early mathematical understanding at their own developmental level.
Note: Approximately three weeks before the training, registrants will receive an email to confirm receipt of their registration request and important instructions that should be viewed prior to the day of the session.
