What’s Strong, Not What’s Wrong: DEC RPs in Action – In Person

August 6 @ 12:00 pm2:30 pm

Shift your lens and transform your practice! This engaging and practical workshop invites early childhood providers to move beyond deficit-based thinking and embrace a strengths-based approach grounded in the DEC Recommended Practices. Together, we’ll explore how focusing on children’s unique abilities, interests, and relationships is the key to authentic inclusion. We will move past the idea of inclusion as “just being in the room” and instead discover how to design environments and interactions where every child—regardless of ability—experiences a true sense of belonging and meaningful participation.

Note: Approximately three weeks before the training, registrants will receive an email to confirm receipt of their registration request and important instructions that should be viewed prior to the day of the session.

This event is a collaboration with Williamson County Early Childhood Cooperative and STAR NET Region IV.
