Words, Wiggles, and Wonder: Supporting SEL, Language, and Literacy While Managing Big Behaviors – In Person

Challenging behaviors in young children are often linked to difficulties in social-emotional development and communication. This interactive workshop will explore how strong adult-child relationships, along with early language and literacy skills, serve as powerful tools to support self-regulation, social interactions, and positive behavior. Participants will learn practical strategies to foster social-emotional growth, strengthen communication, and build nurturing relationships with all young learners, including those with disabilities. Through real-world examples, hands-on activities, and evidence-based practices, educators will gain tools to create inclusive, supportive environments that reduce challenging behaviors, promote meaningful connections, and support every child’s success.
