This introductory session helps early childhood educators understand what artificial intelligence (AI) is—and isn’t—within the context of developmentally appropriate practice. Participants will explore how AI affects learning, relationships, and equity, especially for young children with disabilities and IEP/504 plans. By demystifying AI and addressing common concerns, the session empowers educators to make informed, ethical decisions that support inclusive learning and strengthen SEL in today’s tech-enhanced classrooms.
