Sensory Regulation and Dysregulation: Strategies to Foster Well Being and Optimal Functioning – In Person

October 15 @ 9:00 am3:00 pm

Sensory regulation involves adjusting and integrating sensory input and managing levels of arousal, emotional responses and attention.  Sensory regulation serves as the foundation upon which other types of regulation are based. Sensory regulation is an essential component for self-regulation. Sensory dysregulation can have a profound impact on relationships and well-being and in turn prevents optimal development, behavior and learning.  This workshop we will begin with a review of sensory processing and important concepts related to regulation.  Most of our time will be spent learning and discussing strategies and techniques that foster sensory regulation through supportive relationships and environmental modifications. Prioritizing sensory regulation has profound and pervasive implications on well-being and optimal functioning whether you yourself are neurodivergent or you love, care for, work with or teach individuals who struggle with effective regulation.

Note: Approximately three weeks before the webinar, registrants will receive an email to confirm receipt of their registration request and important instructions that should be viewed prior to the day of the session.
